How to use this map
Moving around
Drag to pan, scroll to zoom.
Right-drag (or Ctrl+drag) to tilt and rotate — this is where the 3D pays off.
Use Jump to in the controls panel for good starting camera angles.
Reading the land
The number under the cursor is the real height above sea level, corrected for whatever
exaggeration you have dialled in.
Turn on the Profile tool, click two or more points, and you get a cross-section —
the quickest way to see why Scripture always says people went up to Jerusalem, or
how far Jericho sits below the ridge just west of it.
Terrain is sampled from tiles already loaded in the view. If a profile shows gaps,
zoom so the whole line is on screen and redraw.
Eras
The Era card at the top of the controls panel filters both the site markers
and the regional labels.
Set it to Divided Kingdom and you get Israel and Judah with Samaria and Lachish;
slide to Early Church and the map opens out to Asia, Macedonia and Rome.

A word on the data
Site identifications follow mainstream biblical geography. Where a location is genuinely
disputed — Ai, Emmaus, Sodom, Mount Sinai, Bethsaida, Cana — the site panel says so.
Coordinates are for the excavated tell or traditional site, not for a modern municipality.
